4 INSTALLATIONS
4-5 ANTENNA CONNECTORS
(1) TYPE-N CONNECTOR INSTALLATION
Nut Rubber gasket 46 47, 1) Slide the nut, washer, rubber gasket and clamp over
r— the coaxial cable. Cut the end of the cable evenly.
2) Strip the cables and fold the braid back over the
clamp as shown at left.
The clamp end should be flush with end of the vinyl
jacket.
e Evenly trim the braid end.

Center conductor
Solder hole 3) Soft solder the center conductor. Install the center
conductor pin and solder it.
No space 4) Carefully slide the plug body into place aligning the
center conductor pin on the cable. Tighten the nut
onto the plug body,

(2) PL-259 CONNECTOR INSTALLATION

1) Slide the coupling ring over the coaxial cable. Strip
the cable jacket only and soft solder.
e Keep the jacket for soft soldering.

3) Slide the connector body over the cable and solder as
shown at left.
4) Screw the coupling ring onto the connector body.

4-6 HANDLES AND STANDS
*RACK MOUNTING HANDLES
Remove the 4 screws from both sides of the front panel,
then attach the rack mounting handles to the sides of the
receiver using the unpacked screws.
«RUBBER STANDS
The rubber stands on the bottom of the IC-R9OOOL give
the receiver 2 selectable angles.
«REAR STANDS
Attach the rear stands using the supplied screws, if desired.
The rear stands allow you to set the receiver facing up or to
mounting ' protect the connectors on the rear panel.
