WARNING

Central ventilation unit – KWL 220/340 D
1. The unit may only be installed in frost-free rooms because there is a risk of freezing. The room temperature must not
fall below +5 °C.
2. In case of installation in heated rooms and rooms with higher air humidity, condensate may form in the area of the
intake air and exhaust air ducts. In this case, vapour diffusion-tight insulation must be applied to the outside of the
piping. The minimum insulation thickness pursuant to DIN 1946-6 must be observed.
3. There must be sufficient space to allow easy access to the unit (cf. Fig. 7).
4. An additional 30 cm space must be kept clear on the unit side for the installation of the external terminal box (cf.
Fig. 7). Alternatively, the terminal box can also be placed on the suspended ceiling.
5. In order to prevent sound transmissions, there must be suitable on-site sound decoupling depending on the building
structure.
6. If an external post-heater is installed, the ventilation duct must be made of non-flammable material at least 0.5 m
before and after the heating element.
7. In order to adjust the air flow rates, all ventilation unit connectors must be accessible at least up to a length of 20 cm
from the side edge of the ventilation unit. Alternatively, pressure measuring connections and pressure measuring
hoses should be connected to the connection spigots on-site when installing the unit, so that the pressure can be
measured properly.

Risk of injury due to the high weight of the heat exchanger
The heat exchanger can fall down and cause serious injuries when removed.
> Wear protective footwear.
> Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the unit with both hands.
1. Remove the heat exchanger from the unit to reduce the weight.
When installing the heat exchanger, ensure the correct location and positioning of the metal trays!
It must be ensured that the unit is 100% perpendicular.
In order to prevent the intake of condensate through the fans, metal trays are mounted in the unit below the left and
right motor unit.
The metal trays prevent the accumulation of condensate in this area and they must be checked for correct
positioning (cf. Fig. 8 and Fig. 9).
2. Attach mounting bracket with anti-vibration dampers (4x; included in delivery) to the lower side walls with metal
screws (see Fig. 10 and Fig. 11).
3. Mount the unit to the ceiling with long M8 threaded rods (see Fig. 11).
