Overview
This chapter describes the Manual Data Input (MDI) operating mode and how to
execute machining steps in single blocks in this mode.
Make sure that you have read and understood the "Basic Operation"
chapter before carrying out the actions described below.

Short description
MDI mode allows you to execute one machining block at a time. The values to
be entered can be applied directly in the input field from a properly dimensioned
production drawing.
Before you can use the product in the MDI mode, the presets must be set in
the Manual Operation mode.

The functions provided by MDI mode enable efficient single-part production. For
small-batch production, you can program the machining steps in Programming
mode and then execute them in Program Run mode.
