Step 6. Connect the flex cable to the hard disk drive backplane connector

Removing a hot-swap hard disk drive

Use this information to remove a hot-swap hard disk drive.
Before you remove a hot-swap hard disk drive, complete the following steps:
1. Back up all important data before you make changes to hard disk drives.
2. Read "Safety" on page iii
The compute node has two hard disk drive bays for installing or removing hot-swap hard disk devices. To
remove a hot-swap hard disk drive, complete the following steps.

Step 1. Press the release latch (orange) on the hard disk drive to release the drive handle.
Step 2. Pull the release handle to remove the drive from the bay.

materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
