(1) EGR Cooler

(2) Thermo Valve

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) cooler (3) is
used to lower combustion temperature and efficiently
cool EGR gas, with the aim of reducing the NOx that is in
the exhaust gas of diesel engine.
The EGR cooler (3) is placed between the cylinder
head (2) and the mechanical EGR valve (4) and returns
the cooled exhaust gases to the engine suction side.
The EGR cooler (3) has resistant to clogging up,
compact and efficient tubes (5) internally.

Thermo valve (1) controls boost pressure "ON / OFF"
for the EGR valve.
If the coolant temperature (2) is low, thermo valve (1)
is closed, so that boost pressure does not reach to the
EGR valve.
If the coolant temperature (2) is high, thermo valve (1)
is open, so that boost pressure reaches to the EGR
valve.
