Note: When automatically acquiring an IP address using DHCP, the same IP address may not be assigned each time depending on the DHCP server
settings and the system configuration on the network where the SmartAXIS is operating. (Example: When using DHCP with two SmartAXIS units
and automatically acquiring the IP addresses, the IP addresses for the two units may be swapped.) When the SmartAXIS is incorporated in a system
configuration where it is a communication target, we recommend setting a fixed IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
In Master IP Address, enter the IP address of the remote I/O master to connect.
4.
Click the Inputs Settings tab, and then configure the settings for the analog and digital inputs.
5.
For details on the settings, see "Analog Input" on page 5-39.
Note: For the remote I/O slave, the input filter's set time is fixed to 3 ms. For details on the input filter function, see Chapter 5 "Special Functions"
- "Input Filter" on page 5-38.
Click Download to download the remote I/O slave settings to the connected SmartAXIS.
6.
Configuring the remote I/O slave is completed.
Notes:
The remote I/O slave settings downloaded to the SmartAXIS can be uploaded to the Remote I/O Slave Configuration dialog box. However, the
following points should be taken into consideration:
If the connected SmartAXIS is not configured as a remote I/O slave, the remote I/O slave settings cannot be uploaded.
The existing settings on the dialog box are overwritten.
