Air recirculation switch
Press the recirculation switch to recirculate
the air in your vehicle. This is useful for
keeping dust and odours out or when
quick heating or cooling is desired.
The

lamp
illuminates.
Press the switch again to switch off the
recirculation feature and allow outside air
into your vehicle.
Using the recirculation setting for an
extended period of time may cause the
windows to fog up. If this happens, switch
the recirculation feature off.
Operating tips
To conserve fuel, switch off the air conditioner when it is not required.
Keep the area under the front seat clear of objects to help air circulate through the
vehicle.
In hot weather before using the air conditioning system, open the windows for a
few minutes to permit hot air to escape if the vehicle has been parked in direct
sunlight.
For maximum cooling, select the ventilation mode and the highest fan speed. Make
sure the air conditioning is turned on. Rotate the temperature control knob to select
the coolest temperature and activate the recirculation mode.
Switch on the air conditioning for a few minutes at least once a week, even in
the winter or when the air conditioning system is not being used regularly. This
maintains proper lubrication of the compressor and seals, prolonging the service
life of the system.
Driving in stop-and-go traffic may reduce the effectiveness of the air conditioning
system.
To quickly demist the front windscreen, use the demister mode, set the temperature
to warm, and set the fan at the highest speed.
For improved demisting of the windows on rainy days or in high humidity, switch the
air conditioning on.
Windscreen demister mode will operate with the air conditioner on or off.
Do not use the heating/demisting mode or the demisting mode in extremely humid
weather when the temperature control is set to cold.
If occupants are smoking, it is recommended that recirculation is not used.
When following another vehicle on dusty roads, or to prevent exhaust fumes or
odours entering your vehicle, select recirculation and close the windows.
When driving on unsealed roads but where the dust is not airborne, select fresh
air (with the windows closed) and set the fan preferably on a high speed so that
positive air pressure in the vehicle will prevent any dust entry.
