Passenger airbag and child
restraints
WARNING – EXTREME HAZARD
• Do NOT use a rearward facing
child restraint on a seat protected
by an airbag in front of it.
The child could be seriously
injured if the airbag inflates, as
the child's head would be very
close to the inflating airbag.
• Remember that it is safer for
children to be seated in the
rear seats.
Refer to Child restraints, previously in this chapter for further information about fitting
a child restraint.
Do not touch any airbag system components or wires.
The wires can be identified by yellow tape wrapping or yellow tubing and the connectors
are also yellow.
Scrapping a vehicle that has an uninflated airbag can be hazardous. Ask your Holden
Dealer for assistance.
