Thoroughly brush or vacuum the carpet. In many instances the carpet may require
no further cleaning. If the carpet is extremely soiled, thoroughly vacuum it to remove
loose dirt then, using a good quality velour fabric and vinyl cleaner, clean a small area

screwdriver or similar (not the vehicle key) to undo the retainers when required. To
replace, push the retainer on the back of the mat into the hole in the carpet and turn

Leather
3
To remove surface soil and dirt from leather, clean regularly using a leather revitaliser.
Apply using a lint free cloth and rub onto leather, do not saturate the leather with the
cleaner and do not pour it directly onto the leather. Allow the leather to dry naturally. A
mild detergent may be used as an alternative to a leather revitaliser.
For deeply embedded soil and dirt, use a leather cleaner. This should be applied
using the same process as leather revitaliser. After using a leather cleaner/revitaliser
apply a leather protector. A leather protector is designed to repel dirt and provides
water resistance.
Note
Clean and protect leather at least twice a year.
Do not use synthetic cloths or brushes for cleaning the leather as this may damage
the leather.
Solvents may damage and/or discolour the leather and should not be used.
The leather may shrink and harden if exposed to direct sunlight for extended
periods. If possible park in the shade or cover the leather.
Do not leave items on the leather that may melt and stick to leather, for example,
plastic bags.
Seat belts
Clean seat belts only with a mild, non-abrasive soap and lukewarm water. After
washing, be sure to thoroughly sponge the washing solution out of the belts.
WARNING
Do not bleach or dye seat belts as this may severely weaken them.
Interior glass
Clean interior glass of the vehicle using a good quality glass cleaner and a clean soft
cloth. Take care when cleaning inside the rear window so as not to damage the rear
window demister or radio antenna.
Never use abrasive cleaners on any vehicle glass, as they can cause scratches.
