The Park Assist system is able to detect
and indicate obstacles at the rear of the
vehicle when reversing. The system
consists of four sensors on the rear
bumper, a control unit and a speaker in
the vehicle's interior.
WARNING
The driver is always responsible for taking care and attention while
manoeuvring the vehicle. The Park Assist is only an aid and is neither
intended to, nor able to take over any responsibility.
The park sensors may not be able to detect all objects under every condition
e.g. objects too close to the vehicle, objects above or below the sensors,
or objects with a surface that absorbs ultrasonic waves. Additionally, some
ambient conditions like ultrasonic waves or heavy rain can cause disruptive
reflections from an object's surface. Such objects may not be detected.
Always manoeuvre the vehicle slowly to allow yourself sufficient time to react.
The warning alarms will sound only while the vehicle's speed is below 5 km/h.
Activating
The Park Assist system is activated automatically when:
the ignition is switched on,
reverse gear is selected and
the vehicle's speed is below 5 km/h.
A short single confirmation alarm will sound to confirm that the sensors are operational.
Note The system will be deactivated when the vehicle's speed raises above 5 km/h.
A fault in the Park Assist system is indicated by:
The alarm sounding three times continuously when there are no obstacles around
the rear bumper.
The Park Assist lamp r illuminating while driving. Refer to Warning/reminder
indications in chapter 1A.
The Park Assist system may not work properly during a malfunction. You should
manoeuvre the vehicle with special care. Check the sensors and clean them if necessary.
If the malfunction persists, have the system checked by your Holden Dealer.
