WARNING
Loaded roof rails or cross bars alter the handling of the vehicle due to a change
in the centre of gravity. Do not drive at high speeds, avoid hard braking, abrupt
swerving or sharp steering.
Always drive carefully when:
Cornering or
driving in cross winds.
Roof rails
3
The roof rails can be used to carry
additional cargo, or bulky items which are
better carried outside the vehicle rather
than inside.
The roof rails are attached to the roof of
the vehicle.
Ensure the load is evenly distributed over
the rails and secured tightly with straps so
that it can not slip. The roof surface must
not be subjected to any load.
Roof cross bars
3
Distribute the load evenly and secure tightly with straps so that it can not slip. For
occupant safety, and to avoid damaging the vehicle's roof, refer to your Holden Dealer
for the approved cross bars system for your vehicle.
WARNING
The load, including the weight of the roof cross bars or roof rails, must not
exceed:
50 kg for the SX.
75 kg for the CX and LX.
Distribute the load evenly.
Note Remember the weight of the roof cross bars or roof rails and their load must be
included when calculating the total load.
Carrying portable gas cylinders in vehicles
WARNING
Gas cylinders can leak, creating a risk of fire or explosion. As a precaution,
ensure adequate ventilation when carrying gas cylinders. They must be
restrained from rolling around, and where possible, placed in the load area of
the vehicle. It is recommended that if gas cylinders are frequently transported, a
purpose built carrying compartment be used. Transportation of gas cylinders is
regulated by legislation in some States.
