DASHBOARD
Lamp switch
The lamp switch controls the following:
Headlamps.
Parking lamps.
Number plate lamps.
Instrument panel lamps.
OFF
All lamps are off.

The parking lamps, number plate
lamps and instrument panel lamps
will illuminate. The headlamps will
not come on.
9 P The parking lamps, number plate
lamps, instrument panel lamps
and headlamps will illuminate.
Automatic lamp switch
All lamps are off.
AUTO The parking lamps or headlamps
will turn on automatically depending
on the outside light levels.
Note AUTO is the default position
for the lamp switch.
To turn the automatic lamp control
off, turn the switch to position
off. The switch will return to the
AUTO position once released.
To turn the automatic lamp control
on, turn the switch to position
off again.

The parking lamps, number plate lamps and instrument panel lamps will
illuminate. The headlamps will not come on.
9 P The parking lamps, number plate lamps, instrument panel lamps and headlamps
will illuminate.
Note
When the windscreen wipers are turned on with the automatic lamp switch in
the AUTO position the headlamps will turn on automatically after 8 wipes.
To ensure the automatic headlamp control works correctly, avoid covering
the sunlight sensor. Refer to Dashboard layout in chapter 1A.
Headlamps
on reminder
If opening the driver's door with the ignition in the LOCK position and the light switch
in the 8 or the 9 P position, a warning chime will sound. If the light switch is turned
off then on again while the chime is sounding the chime will be cancelled.
