Section 5: Parts and Module Replacement

5.9.6 Light Engine Quick Disconnect (LEQD)

The LEQD is part of the light engine assembly. It is attached to the
outside of the cardcage an connects to the Backplane. The LVDS and
power are routed to the light engine from the LEQD.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 8 minutes)
1. Remove the front top lid. Refer to
2. Remove the high security lid. Refer to
page 5-7.
3. Loosen the thumbscrew securing the LEQD in place. (Figure 5-40)
4. Release the two black ejector tabs from the side of the board, which
will pull the board out from the connectors.
5. Pull the LEQD out to remove.
6. Disconnect the three LVDS/power harnesses.

5.9.7 Environmental Board (EVB)

The EVB is mounted to the wall inside the light engine assembly
compartment. The fans, pump, temperature sensors and motor control
harnesses plug into the EVB.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 15 minutes)
1. Remove the front top lid. Refer to
Front Top Lid, on page 5-6.
2. Remove the high security lid. Refer to
5.4.3 High Security Lid, on page 5-7.
3. Loosen the single thumbscrew securing
the EVB in place. (Figure 5-41)
4. Disconnect the 10 harnesses from the
EVB.
5. Remove the EVB.
6. When re-installing the EVB, repeat the
above instructions in reverse. Refer to
Section 7 Interconnections
reconnecting the harnesses.
