Section 5: Parts and Module Replacement

5.11.2 AC Relay

(Estimated Replacement Time: 40 minutes)
The AC relay is located between the blower and igniter shielding with the fire alarm interlock directly in front
of it, the PVC cover over the relay has cutouts for access to the 3mm hex screws.
1. Remove the rear right skin. Refer to
Right Skin (ignitor/blower compartment), on
page
5-7.
2. Remove the front top lid. Refer to
Top Lid, on page
3. Open the lamp door. Refer to
on page
5-9.
4. Rotate the rear top lid to gain access to the
igniter/blower compartment. Refer to
Rear Top Lid, on page
5. Using a 3mm hex key, remove the screw closest
to the blower and loosen the screw closest to
the igniter shield. (Figure 5-47)
6. Lift the PVC shield to one side to gain access to
the AC relay.
7. Tilt the AC relay and use a #2 Phillips
loosen the six screws securing the harnesses.
8. Disconnect the eight harnesses.
9. Remove the AC relay.
