Enclosure Mounting
1.
Knock out the desired wire entrances on the
enclosure.
2.
Use the enclosure as a template and mark the
top mounting holes on the mounting surface.
3.
Pre-start the mounting screws (not supplied) for
these holes.
4.
Place the enclosure onto these screws. See
Figure 2.

5.
Tighten the screws.
6.
Screw in the remaining two screws into the
bottom mounting holes. See Figure 2.
Use proper anchor and screw sets when
mounting on non-load-bearing surfaces, such
as dry wall.

Standby Battery Installation
1.
Place the battery upright in the base of the
enclosure.
2.
Locate the supplied red and black leads.
3.
Push one connector on the black battery lead to
the panel's "Batt – " connector. Then push the
lead's other connector on the negative (-) side of
the battery. See Figure 3 for details.
4.
Push one connector on the red battery lead to the
panel's "Batt + " connector. Then push the lead's
other connector on the positive (+) side of the
battery. See Figure 3 for details.

High current arcs are possible. The positive
(red) battery lead and the panel's "Batt +"
connector can create high current arcs if
shorted to terminals or enclosure. Use
caution when working with the positive lead
and the panel's "Batt +". Always disconnect
the positive (red) lead from the battery before
removing it from the panel.
Bosch Security Systems recommends battery
replacement every 3 to 5 years under normal
use. Exceeding the maximum output ratings,
or installing the transformer in an outlet that
is routinely switched off, causes heavy
discharges. Routine heavy discharges can
lead to premature battery failure. Record the
date of installation directly on the battery.
Once the battery and the transformer connections are
made, the panel charges the battery while you finish
the installation.
