2.3 SAFETY RULES WHEN MAINTAINING HYDRAULIC SYS-
TEM AND PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
• When operating, the hydraulic and
pneumatic systems are under high
pressure.
• Regularly check the technical con-
dition of the connections and the hy-
draulic and pneumatic conduits. Do
NOT use the trailer with leaky system.
• In the event of malfunction of the hy-
draulic or pneumatic system, do not
use the trailer until the malfunction is
corrected.
• Repairs and replacements of hy-
draulic system components should
be carried out by the appropriately
qualified persons.
• When connecting the hydraulic con-
duits to the tractor, make sure that
the hydraulic system of the tractor
and that of the trailer are not under
pressure. If necessary, reduce re-
sidual pressure in the system.
• In the event of injuries being caused
by pressurised hydraulic oil, contact
a doctor immediately. Hydraulic oil
may find its way under the skin and
cause infections. In the event of
contact of oil with eyes, rinse eyes
with a large quantity of water and if
irritation occurs, consult a doctor. In
the event of contact of oil with skin
wash the area of contact with water
and soap. Do NOT apply organic sol-
vents (petrol, kerosene).
• Use the hydraulic oil recommended
by the Manufacturer.
• Used oil should be disposed of in
a professional manner. Used oil or oil
which has lost its properties should
be stored in original containers or
replacement containers resistant to
action of hydrocarbons. Replacement
containers must be clearly marked
and appropriately stored.
• Do not store hydraulic oil in pack-
aging designed for storing food or
foodstuffs.
• Rubber hydraulic conduits must be
replaced every 4 years regardless of
their technical condition.
