6.3 BRAKES ADJUSTMENT

Brake adjustment
(1) expander levers
(2) expander shaft

• Secure the trailer using additional
chocks.
• Release trailer's parking brake.
• Dismantle brake cylinder fork pin.
• Make a line (A) on brake cylinder
piston rod (1) - figure (6.4) to indicate
the position of the maximum with-
drawal of brake cylinder piston rod.
• Press the tractor brake pedal and
mark the position of the maximum
extension of the brake cylinder piston
rod (B) with a line.
• Measure the distance between lines
(A) and (B). If the stroke of the brake
cylinder piston rod is outside the
proper operating range - table (5.3),
