to number "1", the second FlexSet 40B should be set to number "2" and the third to
number "3". See Figure 7-5 and Figure 7-8.
Physical Connection
The physical connection is made by attaching a plastic connecting piece between the
FlexSet 280/281 and the FlexSet 40B and between two FlexSet 40Bs.
There are three slots (two large, one small) located on the right side of the FlexSet
280/281 and the left and right sides of the FlexSet 40B. These slots are positioned
above the D_BUS connector socket and below the "overhang" (see Figure 7-6). One slot
is positioned towards the thicker end of the FlexSet 40B and two are positioned
towards the thinner end. The thin hooks on the left and right sides of the connecting
pieces (Figure 7-7) fit into these and connect the two pieces.
The FlexSet 40B is supplied with snap-in clips to fasten the FlexSet 40B to its host
FlexSet 280/281, or to another FlexSet 40B. Although not required, the clips "unify"
the FlexSet 280/281 and FlexSet 40B(s) into a singular, expandable communications
terminal for centralized message center or turret applications.
The FlexSet 40B is easily wall mounted with an optional wall mount/elevation bracket.
To wall mount the FlexSet 40B, the bracket is attached to the wall surface and the
FlexSet 40B is snapped onto the bracket. The bracket also may be used to elevate the
rear of the FlexSet 40B on a desktop, to lowering the viewing angle of the keyboard.
