Overview
The FlexAPDL with APA-F has been discontinued.
The FlexAPDL with APA-F (discontinued) and FlexAPDL with APDL-FS units
are functionally identical.
In this document both units are referred to as the FlexAPDL.

The Coral FlexAPDL (Application Processor Data Link) is a FlexSet terminal that
provides a programmable serial RS-232E application interface to the Coral
FlexiCom/IPx systems. The FlexAPDL unit is used for applications compliant with the
FlexCT proprietary API products and. It utilizes the same combination of Coral
FlexSet 280S with APA-F, or Coral FlexSet 280/281 with PEX/APA-FS (see page 6-1)
but has no voice circuitry.
The FlexAPDL is not equipped with programmable buttons, keyboard for dialing,
volume buttons, message waiting indicator, navigator keys, speakerphone or handset.
The FlexAPDL comes with an integrated APA module as standard. This provides the
link through which the FlexAPDL can communicate with an external applications
processor or Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) application. The link uses an
RS-232E serial data interface via the RJ-45 jack connector on the rear panel of the
FlexAPDL.
