3.8. FAULT OPTO FILM

This alarm message is always related to the optoswitch S16 that
recognizes the insertion of the panoramic cassette in the cassette
carriage, as the alarm Cassette (see the description in this section
of the Service Manual) but it indicates that the optoswitch is broken.
Press the RESET pushbutton on the control panel to cancel the
alarm.

3.9. COLLIMATOR

The position of the collimator is detected by three optoswitches
(S21,S22 and S30) as listed in the table below:

This alarm is generated when the collimator is in an intermediate
position, i.e. between transcan and panoramic, while it is moved to
change its position according to the projection desired (panoramic,
transcan, teleradiography).
When the correct position is reached, the alarm is automatically
reset.
The alarm is also generated if the collimator is in the transcan
position but the transcan option is not present in the system.
If the alarm stays on it may mean:
(1)
one of the collimator optoswitches S21, S22, S30 is
damaged (see principle diagram Z1-10)
(2)
wiring between the collimator and the PQ1 converter board
damaged (see principle diagram Z1-10)
(3)
PQ1 converter board damaged.
