CHECKING THE CENTERING LIGHTS WITH
LIGHT BEAM PHANTOM

Check the adjustment of the centering lights with light beam phantom
(code 4519 190 00922) as follows:
(1)
Install the light beam phantom into the bite block holder.
(2)
Switch on the lights and move the horizontal light until it
corresponds with the black line of the phantom.
(3)
Check that it is sharply depicted. If not, adjust the horizontal
projector as described in Section F: ADJUSTMENT OF THE
LIGHT PROJECTORS.
(4)
Check that the vertical mid-sagittal light corresponds with
the vertical black line of the phantom.
(5)
Check that it is sharply depicted. If not, adjust the vertical
mid-sagittal projector as described in Section F:
ADJUSTMENT OF THE LIGHT PROJECTORS.

Make sure that the system is at the reset position (Y = -7
mm) and switch on the lights.

Check that the lateral vertical light is sharply depicted on the
vertical black line of the phantom (see fig. C) and that it is
vertical. If not (see fig A - B), adjust the lateral vertical
projector on the cassette carriage as described in Section
F: ADJUSTMENT OF THE LIGHT PROJECTORS.
