16" steel spare wheel for ve-
hicles with sports suspension*
The 16"
steel
spare wheel
is
stored under
the carpeting
in
the luggage compartment.
A
large
plastic nut holds it
in place.
When temporarily using the 16" steel spare
wheel
to
replace a
17"
road wheel, note the
following:
• After installing the 16" steel
spare wheel, the tire inflation pres-
sure must be checked and if neces-
sary,
increased
or decreased to the
air pressure required depending on
whether the spare wheel is
i
nstalled
on the front or the back and depend-
ing on the loading of the vehicle. See
tire pressure sticker on the inside of
the fuel filler flap.
• The 16" spare wheel must be re-
turned to the spare wheel well as
soon as the standard road wheel can
be repaired or replaced.
•
The load carrying capacity
is
marked
an
the tire sidewalls and
must not be exceeded.
•
Because the 16" spare wheel was
f
specifically designed for your ve-
hicle, it must not be used on any
other
vehicle.
Likewise,
spare
wheels from other vehicles must not
be used
on
your vehicle.
•
Do not use the
spare
tire supplied
with your vehicle on any other rims.
Do not mount a tire that is not the
same
size
as
the
16"
spare supplied
with your vehicle on the 16" steel
spare wheel that came with your ve-
hicle.
Do
not
use wheel covers or
1
trim
rings unless they were specifi-
cally designed and approved for use
on the 16" steel spare wheel sup-
plied with your vehicle. If your ve-
hicle was supplied with 16" road
wheels with steel rims
and
wheel
covers,
you
can
use these wheel
covers on the 16" steel
spare.
~WARNING
Improperly using the 16" spare to
replace a
17"
road wheel can
cause loss of vehicle control and
serious personal injury.
•
The
16"
steel spare wheel is
for
temporary
use only on vehicles
with sports
suspensi
on and 17"
I
road wheels
and
is so marked on
the
sidewalls.
Always heed all WARNINGS
on
next page.
