How to install the upper tether
strap to the anchorage point
• Release or deploy the t ether strap on the
chi ld restraint according to the child re-
straint manufacturer's usage instructions.
• Guide t he upper t ether strap
under
the
rear head restraint (raise the head restraint
if necessary).
• Guide the tether strap between the rear
seat back and the luggage compartment
cover (remove the luggage compartment
cover if necessary. see "Luggage compart-
ment cover". Booklet 3 _ 1).
• Attach the tether strap anchorage hook
into the opening of the tether anchorage.
• Tight en the tether strap firmly following
the chi ld restraint manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
• To release the tether strap, loosen the
tension following the child restraint
manufacturer's instructions. Depress the
spring catch on the hook and release it from
the anchorage.
