Luggage compartment cover
You should store only light articles of clo-
thing on the
luggage
compartment
cover.
When you open the rear
lid,
the luggage
compartment cover also opens.
Note
Remember that placing
articles
of
clothing on the luggage compart-
ment cover can block
the
driver's vi-
sion in the rear view mirror. The ven-
tilation openings under the rear
window could
also
be blocked.
~WARNING
Whenever
driving,
never place any
hard or heaving objects on the lug-
gage compartment
cover.
They
could become
a
hazard
to
vehicle
occupants in the event of sudden
braking or in
an accident!
In addition, make
sure
that
the
hea-
ting wires
in
the rear lid window do
not get damaged by objects scra-
ping
against
them.
Increasing the size of the lug-
gage compartment
Removing
the
luggage
compartment cover
If you have to transport larger items, you
can remove the luggage
compartment
cover:
Pull
the
luggage
compartment
cover to-
wards the back (arrow
1
).
and
lift
it up out of
the left and right
side
mountings
(arrow 2)
at the
same time.
Continue to
pull
the cover
guiding
it
manually.
Do not let it fly back into the
housing!
Now press
button
A
wile
simultaneously
lifting the luggage
compartment
cover
up-
ward.
Swing
the
cover a bit to the rear
(ar-
row
3
)
and remove it
from
the left-hand
mounting.
