snow
and
leaves
in
order to
maintain
the proper functioning
of
the
heating and ventilation systems.

have not used the air
conditioner
f or
a long
time.
you may notice some odors
w
hen
you switch
it
on.
To prevent
this,
switch on the
air
conditioner even
in
the
winter at least once
a month on
the
highest
fan speed. When you do this. open the win-
dows
for a short time.

Air
escapes
through
vents under the
rear
window. When placing items of clothing on
the
luggage
compartment cover. therefore,
please
ensure
t
hat
the openings
are not
covered.

engine coolant.

temperature.

outside

and
the

ve ry
humid,
condensed
water
from

air
conditioner can
drip
under

hicle.

If the airflow is not cool

Outside
temperature
is below+42°F
(+5
°C).
•
Check
the
air
conditioning fuse on the
fuse panel
-
see " Fuses
".

it replaced,

Should
you suspect
that
your
air condition-
ing
system
is
damaged and the fuse is not
blown,
switch off
the
air
conditioning by
pressing the button

and see
your
VOLKS-
WAGEN
dealer
for
assistance.
Maintenance
The
condenser should
be
checked from
time
to
time by
your VO LKSWAGEN
dealer
to make sure it's clean. If clogged with
dirt
or
insects.
the condenser
should
be
washed down
with wat
er.
After
the
winter
months
and
before
ex-
tended
summer
use,
the air conditioning
should
be
checked and,
if
necessary, ser-
viced
by
your VO LKSWAGEN
dealer.
