You can fold the rear seatback forward to in-
crease the size of the luggage compart-
ment.

vehicle handles. For best handling
under these
conditions. distribute loads
evenly.
Always place heavy cargo as far forward as
possible in the luggage compartment.
When transporting heavy objects, drive
slowly and avoid sudden maneuvers.
Make sure that the heating wires in
the rear lid window do not get dama-
ged by objects scraping against
them.

Vehicle air circulating in the passenger com-
partment
escapes through slots in the area
of
the
rear
lid. Be sure to
keep
these
slots
free and open.
Air circulation helps to
reduce window

ging.
Stale

of the
luggage compartment.

• Never exceed the Gross Axle
Weight Rating or the Gross Vehicle
Weight Rating specified on the sa-
fety compliance sticker on the left
door jamb.
Exce
eding permissible
weight ratings can change the way
the vehicle handles and could re-
sult in
accidents,
personal injury,
and vehicle damage.
• Do not allow passengers to oc-
cupy the rear load surface while
the vehicle is in motion. Vehicle
occupants must always be proper-
ly restrained.
• Loose items inside the passen-
ger compartment, can fly forward
in an accident or sudden maneuver
and

occupants.
Always
store articles in the luggage com-
partment and use the tie-down
hooks, especially when the rear
seatback have been folded down.
• To help prevent poisonous ex-
haust gas from being drawn into
the vehicle, always keep the rear
lid closed while driving. Never
transport objects larger than tho-
se fitting completely into the lug-
gage area, because the rear lid
cannot be fully closed.
