1. Run the hard disk drive
diagnostic test on drive

2. Reseat the following
components:
a. Hard disk drive
(wait 1 minute or
more before
reinstalling the
drive).
b. Cable from the
system board to the
backplane
3. Replace the following
components one at a
time, in the order
shown, restarting the
server each time:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Cable from the
system board to the
backplane
c. Hard disk drive
backplane
(n = hard disk drive

1. Make sure that the fans
are operating, that there
are no obstructions to
the airflow (front and
rear of the server), that
the air baffles are in
place and correctly
installed, and that the
server cover is installed
and completely closed.
2. Make sure that the heat
sink for microprocessor
n is installed correctly.
3. (Trained service
technician only) Replace
microprocessor n.

Reseat the front video cable
on the system board.
