When to unload Stackers

Various stackers are available for use with the Xerox Nuvera. Depending upon the situation, each of
these devices may require that paper be unloaded from the stacking tray. The table below shows each
of these unload situations for the BFM, DS3500/XPS, and the Xerox Production Stacker (XPS).
Unload situation
Operator presses the Un-
load button on the finisher
or selects Unload on the
UI.
Operator opens the front
door while the Xerox
Nuvera is idle and paper is
present in the stacker.
Job is interrupted due to:
• Restart
• Sleep mode
• Printer off/on
• Power off/on

Single press or multiple
presses lowers tray to
unload position. Tray
lowers only enough to
enable BFM output tray
to slide out
• Can not open door
without pressing unload
button (door is inter-
locked)
• Auto unload is sent.
Must open/close and
remove all sheets for
system to go ready
(continue to print)
DS3500/XPS
First or single press
starts tray lowering,
second pres stops
lowering, third press re-
sumes output tray
lowering, etc.Front door
must be opened/closed
to raise tray & allow
system to go ready

Managing System Resources
XPS
• First or single press
starts the unload pro-
cess (eject), second
press pauses the
eject/raise/lower, third
press resumes
eject/raise/lower lower-
ing.
• After the unload is
complete the system
goes ready (continue
printing)
• Opening is allowed.
• Sheets are not required
to be removed to allow
system to go ready
(continue printing) after
door is opened/closed
• Not applicable.
Auto unload is sent.
Must unload (eject) for
system to go ready
(continue to print).
