Replacing the toner cartridge

When "ORDER TONER" is displayed on the display of the operator panel, prepare a replacement
toner cartridge.
When the message "REPLACE TONER" is displayed and printing stops, replace the toner
cartridge with a new one.
The guideline for replacing the toner cartridge is approximately 5,000 sheets when printing
25.4 mm (1 inch) black square blocks on 216 mm x 58 mm paper.
• The printing quality will decline after the toner cartridge stays unpacked for one year or longer. Therefore, prepare
a new toner cartridge.
• When you replace a toner cartridge/image drum in use, the toner usage will not be calculated accurately.

Open the toner cartridge cover.

Remove the toner cartridge.
WARNING
Never throw a used toner cartridge in fire. The toner inside may scatter or even
explode, thus resulting in burns.
• Lay a piece of paper underneath the removed toner cartridge since toner may spill from the bottom of the
toner cartridge.
Otherwise burns may be caused.
