12. NEEDLE RISE
NOTE:
At stitch length 0 the hook point should meet the middle axis of the needle 2mm after the
bottom dead center.
INFO:
The needle rise is the distance from the bottom dead center of the needle to the position
where the hook point is meeting the middle of the needle. In this position the thread loop is
caught.

Activate the ADJUSTMENT WIZARD
(see 02.01. / Page 19).
» Until chapter 12 appears on the display.
» Confirm.
Loosen screw .

Turn the needle bar with the mechanical handwheel into the bottom dead center.

Set the gauge and the clamp

Remove the gauge , and turn the needle bar in sewing direction until the clamp

ches.
Turn the hook until the hook point is positioned in the middle
of the needle as shown in image 3.
Tighten screw in this position (2mm after the bottom dead center).

» Confirm to proceed to the next step.

INFO: The pedal is blocked. While tur-
ning by hand the display shows the ma-
chine position in degrees. Stitch length
is set to 0mm.
