7 Charging the battery
The following points must be observed when charging the battery:

1) Flex the arm.
2) Use the dial to adjust the compensation.
INFORMATION: The adjustment range
is limited by stops.
INFORMATION: The adjustment mech­
anism is protected by a slip clutch.
Range 1 = low compensation level
Permits the arm to swing freely while walking.
Range 2 = moderate compensation level
Balance is positively supported when flexing
the arm. Compensation is reduced again dur­
ing extension.
Range 3 = constant compensation level
If set correctly, the weight of the forearm is bal­
anced by the compensation level.
Range 4 = low compensation level
Low compensation until flexion stop.
1) Loosen the adjusting screw.
2) Move the upper arm rotation joint to the
desired position.
3) Re-tighten the adjusting screw.
