5.C. Performing a Sample Purification Run

Once all samples and Plungers are loaded, close the door. The run will begin automatically.
Important. The Plungers must be placed in the correct starting position. If the instrument goes through a run
!
without Plungers, the magnetic rod assembly must be removed and cleaned (see Section 8.B). The cartridges
containing samples must be discarded.
During the run, the Processing screen will display the current run step and the run time remaining. The instrument
will automatically perform periodic self-diagnostic tests to verify that the platform, Plunger Bar and magnetic rod
assembly are within calibration during the purification procedure. If the instrument detects that any of these parts are
not within calibration during a run, the method will pause and display Calibration Error.
