for the instrument. The USB port is used to attach the Bar Code Reader.
The RS-232 serial port can be used to connect to a computer using the supplied RS-232 Cable. If your computer does
not have an RS-232 port, an RS-232/USB Adaptor is included and can be used to connect the Maxwell
Instrument to a USB port on the computer.
The USB connector port is for a bar code reader and only allows bar code data to be imported into the Maxwell
Forensic Instrument. Connect the USB plug from the bar code reader to the instrument using this port. Data cannot be
exported from this connector port.
Note: Do not link a computer or printer to the USB port.
The SD Card slot is used to update firmware. A blank SD Card is supplied with the Maxwell
This card can be used to transfer firmware to the Maxwell
