Installing the System into a Rack
This section provides information on installing the server into a rack with the rails
provided. There are a variety of racks on the market, so the assembly procedure
may differ slightly. Refer to the installation instructions that came with your rack.
Note: These rails fit a rack between 26.5" and 36.4" deep.
Identifying the Sections of the Rack Rails
The chassis package includes two rail assemblies, one designed and labeled for
each side of the chassis. Each assembly consists of an inner rail that secures
directly to the chassis, and an outer rail that secures to the rack. The outer rail has
two sections that can slide and adjust to fit your rack depth.
