Power on a member switch and start a local management session. Refer to "Starting
a Local Management Session" on page 142.

Enter the ENABLE and CONFIGURE TERMINAL commands to move to the Global
Configuration mode:
awplus> enable
awplus# configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
awplus(config)#
Step 3 sets the member switch's ID number.

Set the ID number of the member switch with the STACK RENUMBER command.
Each switch must have a unique ID number. The default value is 1. The range is 1 to
4. If you are using the worksheet on "Stack Worksheet" on page 78, refer there for the
ID numbers. This example changes the switch's ID number from the default value 1 to
the new value 2.
awplus(config)# stack 1 renumber 2
% Warning: the new ID will not become effective until the stack-
member reboots.
% Warning: the boot configuration may now be invalid.
The remaining steps reboot the unit. (You do not have to update the configuration file with the
WRITE command after changing a switch's ID number.)

Enter the EXIT command to return to the Privileged Exec mode.
awplus(config)# exit

4. Save your changes with the WRITE command in the Privilege Exec
mode.
5. Restart the switch with the REBOOT command.
6. Start a new local management session.
7. Verify your changes with the SHOW STACK and SHOW RUNNING-
CONFIG INTERFACE commands.
