Recommendations

The following recommendations will assist you in planning and preparing your site
for the ShoreTel system.
Hire a cabling contractor to install your racks, patch panels, and cabling.
Have two RJ-48C cables ready for each SA-100.
Reputable surge protector or UPS
For remote deployment, your network should have 384 kbs bandwidth or
better available between the FTP server and the remote SA-100 for
downloading upgrade software.

Physical Specifications

This section provides physical and consumption information about the SA-100.
Units have a 1U footprint and fit into a standard 19-inch mounting rack. Full-length
mounting rails are shipped in the package. Table 4-1 provide specification
information about the SA-100.

1. MTBF estimates the effective reliability of the SA-100 system. MTBF is calculated using the
Bellcore reliability model.
NOTE Files are not automatically deleted. Users must remove their own files.
Excessive clutter on the drive can affect performance.
