6.1 LOCATING MALFUNCTIONS
MALFUNCTION
The machine is turned on, but
the display is blank
The optical reader is not working
The X and Y motors are not
working
The automatic clamp is not
working
The feeder is not working
The keyboard doesn't work
properly
The machine is not
communicating with the PC
The "Close shield" message is
displayed on the screen, even
though it is already closed
PROBABLE CAUSE
Emergency button pressed down
The display-keyboard is broken
The cable from the display screen to the control board is badly connected
Dirt on the glass conical part of the laser reader
The cable from the reader to the control board is badly connected
The optical reader is broken
The control board is broken
None of the motors are working
A motor is not working
The automatic clamp has not been correctly inserted in the SUB-D connector.
The cable from the feeder to the control board is badly connected
Faulty cable in the automatic clamp
The feeder has not been correctly inserted into the SUB-D connector
The cable from the feeder to the control board is badly connected
Faulty cable in the feeder
Keyboard broken
The connection from the display screen to the control board is badly
connected
The cable connecting the PC and the machine is badly connected or damaged.
The machine control board is broken.
PC port broken.
The protective shield is not operating correctly on the micro once closed
