General troubleshooting
Problem
Local display dark and no signal
output at current output (0 mA)
Local display is dark, but signal
output is within the valid current
range (3.6 to 22 mA)
Signal output outside the valid
current range
(< 3.6 mA or > 22 mA)
Device shows correct value on local
display, but signal output is
incorrect, though in the valid
current range
Device measures incorrectly.
Text on measured value display and
in navigation view appears in a
foreign language and cannot be
understood
No connection via HART protocol
No connection via CDI interface
Possible cause
Supply voltage does not match that
specified on the nameplate.
Supply voltage has incorrect polarity.
No contact between connecting cables
and terminals.
Terminals are not plugged into the I/O
electronics module correctly.
I/O electronics module is defective.
Display is set too bright or too dark.
Spiral cable of the display module is not
plugged in correctly.

Remedy
Apply the correct supply voltage
(® ä 26).
Reverse polarity of supply voltage.
Check the contacting of the cables and
correct if necessary.

• Set the display brighter by
simultaneously pressing O + F.
• Set the display darker by
simultaneously pressing S + F.
Insert the plug correctly into the main
electronics module and display module.
