▪ Insert the abdominal catheter in the rectum or the vagina.
▪ Remove the cap from the abdominal catheter. Be sure that no moisture is
getting into the catheter.
▪ Connect the abdominal catheter to the blue (P
(tighten securely!). Be sure to connect in the OPEN position.
▪ Let the patient cough to get any of the access air out before charging the
catheters.
