Figure 2.15 Pump tube pulled all the way down
▪ While placing the pump tube, note the following:
1. For correct functioning of the pump, it is essential that the pump tube is
inserted on both sides of the pump head into the V-shaped grooves
and pulled all the way down into the round openings.
2. Make sure that the pump tube is positioned according to the rotation
direction of the pump. The rotation direction of the pump is visible on
the control panel of the pump and can be set (clockwise or
counterclockwise) in the diagnostic program (see the Nexam Pro
Service & Installation Manual, document code MAN-00031).
▪ Place the tube clamp; do not stretch the tube while placing the clamp.
▪ Turn the lever back.
▪ Press the Flush button [6] on the pump to expel any air from the tube.
▪ Connect the pump tube to the filling lumen of the catheter.
▪ Start the investigation. The pump tube should not touch the saline bag
during the filling phase.
