The flowsensor needs four batteries (type AA alkaline 1.5 Volt or NiMH 1,2
Volt) in the battery compartment. Under normal circumstances the flowsensor
is expected to run for over one month on a single set of batteries. The
flowsensor is switched on after selecting an investigation in the measurement
program, indicated with a green colored LED.
The flowsensor can be used without Bluetooth functionality. Just connect a
digital MMS-bus cable between the flowsensor and one of the digital ports on
the U2M module.
Second flowmeter
It is always possible to connect a second flowmeter to the Nexam Pro. These
flowmeters can be used simultaneously during one investigation; for example,
the pressure-flow study. One flowmeter can be placed in the investigation
room for the filling phase, and one flowmeter in the bathroom for the voiding
phase.
Status LED flowsensor
The status LED may show different colors; the indication is as follows:
