17.0 SpO Monitor Test

Tools Needed:

Masimo Reusable Sensor.
•

Masimo Patient Cable
•
Fluke Index Series 2 SpO Simulator.
•

Test Setup:
Connect the universal cable to the MFC test plug.
DO NOT connect the ECG cable to the simulator.

Connect the Masimo Patient Cable and attach the Masimo

Connect the Masimo sensor to the finger simulation post.
Place a fully charged battery into the battery well or connect to ac power (dc power, if equipped).
Ensure that the SpO Simulator is off.

Do this...
17.1 Turn the selector switch to MONITOR.
(For AED units, turn the selector switch to ON
and select Manual mode.)
17.2 Wait ten seconds.
Turn on the SpO 2 simulator. Press the SIM
softkey on the Index SpO
the MAN softkey.
17.3 Press the 02+ or 02- softkey of the simulator
until the SpO output is at 98%.
