5.3.10. GNSS

Administration
The GNSS page lets you enable or disable the GNSS modules present in the system and
can be used to con gure the daemon that can be used to share access to receivers without
contention or loss of data and to respond to queries with a format that is substantially easier
to parse than the NMEA 0183 emitted directly by the GNSS device.
We are currently running the Berlios GPS daemon (version 3.15), supporting the new JSON
format. Please navigate to

by the CLI and used in SDK scripts.

Please consider to restrict access to the server port, either by a specifying a dedicated client
network or by using a rewall rule.

GNSS Module Con guration
Enable or disable the GNSS module
The mode of operation, either standalone or assisted (for A-
GPS)
The type of the connected GPS antenna, either passive or ac-
tively 3 volt powered
The desired accuracy in meters
The amount of time to wait between x attempts
GNSS Server Con guration
The TCP port on which the daemon is listening for incoming
connections
Speci es where clients can connect from, can be either
everywhere or from a speci c network
Speci es how data transferal is accomplished when a client
connects. You can specify on request which typically requires
an R to be sent. Data will be sent instantly in case of raw mode
which will provide NMEA frames or super-raw which includes
the original data of the GPS receiver. If the client supports the
JSON format (i.e. newer libgps is used) the json mode can be
speci ed.
