Introduction
GVRP Enable
This indicates if the GVRP protocol is selected. If selected, the GVRP
application propagates that information to other GVRP applications.
GVRP is enabled on a per port basis.
GVRP Filter
You are able to specify a list of VLAN IDÕs that should not be dynamically
learned by GVRP. When the management processor receives a GVRP
packet, it checks this database to determine if the learning of this ID
should be restricted.
VLAN Group
You are given the ability to specify the group of ports associated with a
particular VLAN ID.
Aging Time
The aging time for 802.1D and 802.1Q mode will be the same.
Access Ports
You are able to specify which ports on the system are access ports and
always have the tags stripped.

1.6 LOCAL CONSOLE MANAGER

The Local Console Manager (LCM) is a command-line interface built into
the SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27. The LCM enables you to monitor,
manage, and conÞgure the SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27 through the
out-of-band RS232C connection attached to any non-intelligent terminal
or workstation running terminal emulation.
You can also use a Cabletron Systems Network Management System, or a
standard SNMP-based Network Management System, to manage the
SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27. For a list of available SmartSTACK
Ethernet ELS10-27 network management tools, see Section 4.1,
SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27 Management Tools.
The following sections describe LCM command syntax and the basic
LCM commands for logging in, logging out, and getting help.
