Configuring Your SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27
Note: The SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27-to-SmartSTACK Ethernet
ELS10-27 connections must be point-to-point. There cannot be any other
devices on those Ethernets. The ports used for trunking can be in any
order. However, both ends of the SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27-to-
SmartSTACK Ethernet ELS10-27 connections must have trunking
turned on for the ports that are being used for the connections.

3.8 DISABLING TRUNKING

To turn off trunking, at the LCM prompt:
Type
trunk <PORT-RANGE> off
For example,
trunk 25-27 off

3.9 DISPLAYING TRUNKING STATUS

To check the status of your current trunking conÞguration, at the LCM
prompt:
1. Type
trunk <PORT-RANGE>
The display could look like the following:
Note: IP Addresses are not required for trunking to function.
ELS10-27 > trunk 25-27
Port 25 trunking joined to Bridge MAC Addr 00:40:27:00:06:1f IP Addr 0.0.0.0
Port 26 trunking joined to Bridge MAC Addr 00:40:27:00:06:c3 IP Addr 0.0.0.0
Port 27 trunking joined to Bridge MAC Addr 00:50:36:00:07:4a IP Addr 0.0.0.0
To check the status for ports conÞgured for trunking, at the LCM prompt:
1. Type
status <PORT-RANGE>
