Pressure at the sample gas outlet should be adjusted to the atmospheric pressure.
3.4.6 Example confi guration of gas sampling system
The following illustrates a typical system confi guration for 5 component gas measurement for
monitoring combustion exhaust gas from boiler, refuse incinerator, etc.

Gas extractor with a heating

Removes drain, mist, and dust.
The safety drain trap is divided
into two spaces for positive and
negative pressure. It moni-
tors and adjusts the sample gas
pressure.
For aspiration of the sample gas (10) Zirconia O
Dries the moisture in the
sample gas to a dew point of
approx. 2˚C.
Used for fl owing the standard
gas.
PTFE fi lter used to eliminate
fi ne dust particles.
