MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE

By using the filter wrench, loosen the cover (8) of KCCV
ventilator (2).
At this time, tube (6) and hose (7) rotate together with cov-
er (8).

After removing the cover (8) from ventilator body (9), re-
move the element (10).
Oil may be accumulated in or sticking to the cover (8) and
element (10). When replacing the element, take care that
the oil will not spill out.
REMARK
When the ambient temperature is low, water or emulsified
matter may stick to the inside of KCCV because of con-
densation of water vapor in the blowby gas. However, as
far as the coolant level is normal, it is not a problem.
6.
Apply the engine oil to the O-rings (12) (2 pieces) fitted to
the top and bottom of the new element and insert the ele-
ment into the body.
REMARK
You can install the element with either side up.
7.
Replace the O-ring (11) of ventilator body (9) with a new
one and apply the engine oil to it, and then install the cover
(8) to the body.
Tighten it firmly by hand until you cannot tighten it any
more.
