Remove the bolts (2) (2 pieces).

Remove the cover (3).
3.
Insert a bar in hole (B) of rod (1) and turn the rod (1).
The distance between joints (L) can be adjusted by turning the rod (1).

REMARK
When the maximum cutting angle (blade tilted fully for-
ward) is changed to the minimum cutting angle (blade til-
ted fully backward), there is resistance from the pressure
stored in the angle cylinder, so the operating effort may
gradually become heavier.
In this case, turn the starting switch to ON position (you do
not need to start the engine), and then cancel the work
equipment lock lever, set the blade control lever in the an-
gling direction, and release the pressure in the angle cylin-
der.
4.
Install the cover (3).
5.
Install the bolts (2) (2 pieces).
TIPS FOR LONGER UNDERCARRIAGE LIFE
Undercarriage life greatly varies depending on operation method, inspection and maintenance.
For most efficient operation, keep the following points in mind.
OPERATION METHOD
•
Use a track shoe suitable for soil condition.
For selection of the shoe, consult your Komatsu distributor.
•
Do not let the shoe slip during operation.
If the shoe starts slipping, decrease the load to prevent slipping.
Method
Install the cover (3) inside out.
It can be lengthened to the dimen-
sion that the cover (3) can be in-
stalled.
Do not lengthen it any longer than
that.
It can be shortened until the threa-
ded portions (C) of rods (4) and (5)
touch the rod (1).
Do not shorten it any shorter than
that.
Arrange the V-groove (P) of cover
(3) to the center of rod.
