MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
18. Remove the screws (11) (2 pieces) of the suction flange.
19. Take out the strainer (12).
20. Remove the dirt from strainer (12), then wash it in the
clean diesel fuel or flushing oil.
21. Install the strainer (12), and tighten it with screws (11) (2
pieces).
At this time, be sure to replace the O-ring (13) (strainer
side) with a new one and install it.
22. Install the suction flange with bolts (9) (4 pieces).
At this time, be sure to replace the O-ring (14) (suction
flange side) with a new one and install it.
23. Install the battery tray (8) with bolts (7) (4 pieces).
24. Install the clamp (6).
25. Install the connectors (5) (3 pieces).
26. Install the battery.
For installation of the battery, see "METHOD FOR REMOVING AND INSTALLING BATTERY (3-209)".
27. Place the oil container under the hydraulic oil filter.
28. Turn the hydraulic oil filter cartridge (15) counterclockwise
to remove by using the filter wrench.
29. Clean the filter head.
30. Fill the new filter cartridge with clean oil, coat the seal and
thread portion of the new filter cartridge with oil (or apply
thin film of grease), then install it to the filter head.
31. After the packing surface touches the sealing surface of
the filter head, tighten the filter cartridge approximately 2/3
of a turn.
Komatsu recommends using Komatsu genuine cartridge.
32. Open the fuel tank inspection cover on the right side of the
machine.
33. Remove the grease pump (16) from the grease pump
holder.
