30 Testing and adjusting
Electrical system
a The machine monitor has some password
functions other than the engine start lock. Those
functions are independent from one another.
a The following screen may sometimes be
displayed instead of the above "Password input"
screen.
a If this screen is displayed, call the person
responsible for the operation of KOMTRAX in
your Komatsu distributor and ask for remedy.
Display of technician identification
status

When the operator identification function is enabled,
turn the starting switch to ON position while
pressing the numeral input key "4", and the
following technician identification screen is
displayed for 2 seconds.
a This function is for identifying the testing and
maintenance work by service man from
operation status by operator.

After displaying the identification of the technician,
the operator ID input screen is displayed.
a The screen shown in the figure is displayed only
when the operator ID No. input setting is
enabled.
a Before performing checking and adjusting,
check in advance that the input setting of ID of
the operator identification function has already
been set by the customer.
a If the customer has set the ID input setting with
SKIP, press [F1] button after identifying the
technician, and the engine can be started.
a If they have set the ID input setting without SKIP,
the engine cannot be started as long as the
registered ID available for the technician is
informed by a person in charge of the machine
from the customer.
a The screen moves to check-before-starting
screen by inputting ID or SKIP without pressing
any button on KOMATSU logo screen.
